Brenda Blasingame

Brenda Blasingame is a social sector consultant and change agent committed to issues of justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and building community through trusted relationships and authentic engagement.

Over her career she has worked at the executive and senior level in the public and nonprofit sector at the local, state, and national levels. She has an extensive background in early childhood development and has worked on public health issues including maternal and child health. Her formal education is a bachelor's degree in developmental psychology and master's degree in organizational psychology.

Brenda's approach to her work is grounded in equity, justice and Tikkun Olam, the Hebrew concept of repairing the world. She brings to her work a unique perspective based on:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working on justice, equity, diversity and inclusion 

  • Experience and insights of being both a public and private funder 

  • Understanding the complexity of systems change efforts

Brenda is a facilitator, a connector and a bridge builder. She has served on numerous boards, committees, and commissions throughout her professional career. She is also a published author, a novice writer and performer and most importantly the proud parent of two young adults and a couple of four-legged companions.
